About us
We are a small business based in The Meon Valley, in the heart of Hampshire. We produce unique table lamps from musical instruments and other interesting items.
This started as a hobby but after accumulating 20+ table lamps in the house, we decided to sell some and this is how The Meon Lights was born!
A plumber by trade, with an artistic flair, I find it a joy to work with instruments. The designs have evolved over the past 6 years, to keep up with modern trends. We exhibit at selected shows, events and festivals throughout the year.
The musical instruments we use are generally at the end of their playing days due to damage or cost of repairs. Some may be in excellent condition and some may show signs of wear from their use through the decades.
Other items we use include marine artifacts, leather riding boots and vintage style fuel cans. The bases are made from old redundant oak tables. All the electrical wiring and fittings are new, CE certified where necessary and the lamps PAT tested. The bulbs are ES27 LED and all the lamps are 240V.
Commissions are now available on request. It could be an old trumpet Grandad used to play or a saxophone you played at school.
